Developmental Gymnastics

Developmental Gymnastics is a program of sequential gymnastics skills. It was written by Dr. Garland O'Quinn, Jr. to fulfill the Texas Education Agency requirement for sequential gymnastics and tumbling in the public elementary schools. It has since been acknowledged by the United States Gymnastics Federation to conform to safety standards and procedures. This program is co-educational and implements the letter and spirit of public law 94-142.

  1. Tested over a 17 year period
  2. Currently over 1400 teachers certified in AKT programs
  3. Recognized by the Texas Education Agency for 12 Hours of AAT credit
  4. Adopted by 15 Universities for their teacher preparation programs in Physical Education
  5. Is becoming the basic gymnastic course for all Physical Education and Kinesiology Major Students
